Working through our present challenge, Pope Francis unites himself with, and calls the Church to unite with, all people of faith to pray for the end of the Covid-19 virus. Pope Francis has endorsed the call to “the believers of all the religions to unite together spiritually on May 14 in a day of prayer and fasting, to implore God to help humanity overcome the coronavirus pandemic.” To help us participate with the Holy Father, I will open Saint James Church for some time of Adoration. On Thursday, May 14 from 4pm – 6pm the church will be open for quiet prayer with our Lord present on the altar. Come spend a few moments in the presence of Jesus in the quiet of the church as we unite with all faiths in prayer. We still need to exercise caution and ask that you please use common sense and keep the appropriate social distancing practices.
