Serve Our Neighbors in Need
The St. Vincent de Paul Ministry in Lakewood is one of the quiet but powerful ways our Lakewood Catholic Community lives the Gospel. Every week, volunteers step forward to meet Christ in the poor-offering food, clothing, rent assistance, utility help, and, most importantly, dignity and hope to those in crisis.
This is not abstract charity. These are our neighbors-families choosing between groceries and rent, the elderly living alone on fixed incomes, parents working two jobs and still struggling to make ends meet. Through prayer, listening, and practical assistance, the St. Vincent de Paul Ministry becomes the face of Christ for them, and they for us.
The work is simple but life-changing: responding to calls for help, connecting people with resources, and offering compassion without judgment. Whether you have a few hours a month or a little more to give, your “yes”, or you’d like to donate, it could all make an eternal difference.
If you feel called to be part of this ministry of mercy, contact Max Hall at mhall@stlukelakewood.org to learn more. Together, we can ensure no one in Lakewood faces hardship alone.
