For years it has been a practice in many Catholic families to bring a basket of food, prepared for the Easter meal, to church for a special blessing on Holy Saturday. We will continue this practice in our Saint Clement/Saint James communities.

This deeply rooted tradition is rich with symbolism for Easter, Spring, the Resurrection and many other reminders of our faith. Even if you do not have a basket to bring feel free to join us for this short prayer service to learn about the richness of this tradition, and to prepare in a small and simple way for our coming Easter celebration.
