Sister Rita Mary and the members who comprise Welcoming the Stranger are involved in a variety of ways assisting those immigrants who are here. The focus of the group has been education and a broader community on issues relating to immigration, advocacy, and assistance for the undocumented. The group has provided transportation and accompaniment to court, counseling, and legal assistance. Advocacy is an important support which is also offered. The most recent program is Parish Companion Program which prepares volunteers to assist and accompany whose who are preparing for deportation.

All are welcome, Bring a Friend.
